Thanksgiving Prayer

Earth, you are such a small planet sustaining our lives,

Graciously nurturing; ever graciously providing each day

Today we give thanks to your mothering of us all.

It is autumn, final time of harvest.

Change is in the air.

Surrender as she tilts once again,

the sunlight dims in this ancient dance of seasons.

Darkness must have its time in the cycle of constant renewal.

Here at this table we join.

May we have reverence for what we have.

May we receive, each in our own way.

And may we give from our hearts,

As Earth gives from her heart to us.
